2003 – Cumberland organized in Nashville, TN.

2004 – Started client work providing various services in a number of industries. Finished the year with 11 full-time client-serving personnel.

2005 – Client base expands. Healthcare work increases. Headcount grows to 25.

2006 – Increased focus on implementation work for healthcare providers. Increased headcount to 31.

2007 – Healthcare provider client-base grows. Full-time client-service headcount exceeds 40.

2008 – Growth continues - headcount tops 50. Cumberland recognized as one of Consulting Magazine's Best Small Firms to Work For.  Administrative offices move to Brentwood, TN.

2009 – Cumberland identified as one of Consulting Magazine's Seven Small Jewels of the Consulting Profession. Headcount increases to 76. 

2010 – Third consecutive year being recognized by Consulting Magazine as a Best Small Firms to Work For.  Headcount passes 100. Revenue increases >100% over 2009.

2011 – Named Best in KLAS for IT Planning & Assessment in 2011 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Services report. Third consecutive year as one of Inc. Magazine's 5,000 Fastest-Growing. Corporate headquarters moves to Franklin, TN. Headcount reaches 150.
