Provider Division - Principal Consultant - Provider
Cumberland’s Provider Division provides high-quality project management, planning, analysis and implementation support services to clients in the acute care, ambulatory, and post-acute/long-term care markets. We offer advisory services related to affiliate solutions, system selection and planning, assessments, total implementation cost envelope development, and contract negotiation.
Position Overview
We are in search of a seasoned Consultant who will be responsible for client end of delivery and focuses primarily on leading project-based management consulting. This position focuses primarily on the management and execution of the project and daily team oversight. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical and/or billing Epic, Cerner, McKesson or similar EHR applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; focus on healthcare, business, IT, or computer science preferred
- 10+ years experience consulting or relevant industry
- Computer literacy including working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (particular depth in Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Experience facilitating teams including experience working with technical and non-technical staff
- At least 5 years of previous contract management or application implementation experience
- Is recognized as a thought leader in at least one area of expertise
- Demonstrated project management skills including Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling and Closing processes
- Demonstrated business development skills by participating in proposal development and presentations and ability to identify and assist in the closure of add-on sales
- Proven experience in managing the budget of large projects
- Ability to travel extensively required
- Strong oral and written communication skills; must have experience leading meetings with senior executives
