Cumberland Consulting Group is expanding to the West Coast with its acquisition of Seattle-based Cipe Consulting Group.

Cumberland, based in Franklin, Tenn., advises providers, health plans and life sciences companies on implementing new technology. Cipe operates in the same space, specializing in electronic health records and revenue cycle systems.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Cipe co-founders Rachel Wixson and Derek Garrison will join Cumberland as partners. Cumberland also plans to maintain Cipe’s Seattle office of 50 employees, bringing the combined firm’s total head count to more than 230 consultants.
