NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 25, 2014) – Cumberland Consulting Group, a national technology implementation and project management firm, announced the addition of industry veteran Dave Cannell as managing director for its fast-growing Life Sciences practice.

Cannell brings more than 26 years of experience in the life sciences industry, specifically in the area of contract life cycle management. In his role as managing director, Cannell will be responsible for building relationships with potential clients and partners, as well as managing vendor assessment and implementation projects.

“Dave has a proven track record of success in both the vendor and consulting sides of the industry, even owning his own consulting firm for nearly a decade,” said Jeff Lee, partner at Cumberland Consulting Group. “We are excited to welcome Dave to the Life Sciences practice team and know his experience and strong network will be an asset to our growing firm.”

Cannel joins Cumberland after spending the last two years at Deloitte Consulting as a senior manager. Prior to Deloitte, Cannell jointly founded and operated a boutique Life Sciences consulting organization, Activus Solutions, LLC. He was instrumental in the strategic growth and management of the firm that became a successful and respected consulting organization. Cannell also served as vice president of product management for I-Many, Inc., now Revitas, for six years after starting his consulting career in 1986 in the pharmaceutical/medical device industry.

A New Jersey resident, Cannell will work out of Cumberland’s Life Sciences office in Iselin, New Jersey.
