Areas of specialty include employment law, policy design and administration, regulatory compliance recruiting and retention, and corporate safety and security. Prior to joining Cumberland, Childs served as director of human resources for Saint Thomas Health Services, and as a key member of the hospital’s executive leadership and strategic planning teams.  

Childs holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama. She is a member of the Diversity Forum Committee, the Tennessee Society for Healthcare Human Resources Management (TSHHRM), and serves as president of the Middle Tennessee Society for Healthcare Human Resources Management (MTSHHRM).
