NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 18, 2015) – Rachel Wixson, a managing partner of Cumberland Consulting Group, has been named one of Consulting Magazine’s Rising Stars of the Profession for excellence in leadership. Only 35 consultants nationwide, all under the age of 35, received this honor.

Wixson has more than 12 years of healthcare IT experience implementing several of the industry’s leading electronic medical record software solutions. She is based in Seattle and serves clients across the nation.

In 2010, Wixson co-founded Cipe Consulting, where she managed operations, oversaw client services and supported business development activities. As a result of Wixson’s leadership, the consulting practice grew to 67 employees in four years.

Prior to founding Cipe, Wixson served in a variety of roles at Epic Systems Corporation, a leading healthcare software company, where she lead a number of enterprise implementations, assisted with new business development and also helped establish the organization’s first presence in the Middle East.

In 2014, Wixson oversaw the merger of Cipe Consulting with Cumberland Consulting. Today, she is leading the efforts to grow Cumberland’s newly formed specialist consulting division and continues to serve some of the organization’s top clients.

Wixson is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in German from the University of Wisconsin–LaCrosse.
