Cumberland Consulting Group announces the promotions of Christopher Miller and Jennifer Vesole. Miller has been named Principal of the firm and Vesole is promoted to Executive Consultant.

Miller joined the firm in 2007 and specializes in health information technology (HIT) strategic planning, system implementation and troubled project transformation. He is an experienced project manager and has led Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementations for a number of acute and ambulatory healthcare providers.

Prior to joining Cumberland, Miller served as a team lead in Epic Systems Corporation’s Implementation Services Group. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health Studies from The Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, the Project Management Institute and is certified in Epic’s Inpatient Procedure Orders, Clinical Documentation and ASAP Emergency Department modules.

Jennifer Vesole has extensive knowledge and experience in EMR system implementations for public health organizations, ambulatory and acute care health systems. Areas of expertise include inpatient clinical software with an emphasis on Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), clinical documentation and revenue cycle management.

Vesole served as an independent contractor and an implementation analyst for Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the University of Illinois Medical Center before joining Cumberland in 2010. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and Marketing from the University of Iowa. She is a certified Epic Clinical Documentation analyst and a certified Project Management Professional.
