EMR Program Management and Implementation

Cumberland assisted an academic medical center with the planning and program management for an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation for their faculty practice plan. The engagement included design, configuration, training, hardware planning, implementation and go-live support. Cumberland consultants facilitated clinical process improvement and worked with a panel of clinicians to establish EMR standards across various individual departments and specialties.

The multi-year project leveraged multiple implementation teams working in parallel with multiple departments simultaneously. The result was the successful implementation of the EMR for 600 physicians and 1,500 support staff in 40 specialties at over 50 locations.
