Reflecting on their "Big 4" consulting background, Cumberland’s founding partners were struck by the waste of talent that occurred because of competing priorities and big company bureaucracy. They resolved to build a firm of consulting practitioners with a sharp focus on client delivery.

That commitment remains as our firm grows. Everyone in our firm has a hand in the delivery of services to our clients.

Company History

2003 - Cumberland organized in Nashville, TN.

2004 - Started client work providing various services in a number of industries. Finished the year with 11 full time client serving personnel.

2005 - Client base expands. Expanded headcount to 25.

2006 - Increased focus on implementation work for heath care providers. Increased headcount to 31.

2007 - Healthcare provider client base grows. Full time headcount exceeds 40.

2008 - Growth continues - headcount tops 50. Administrative offices move to Brentwood, TN

For the second straight year Cumberland Consulting Group was identified as one of the 2008 Music City Future 50; an award designed to identify the 50 fastest-growing privately held companies in the Nashville area. This distinction was awarded in the first 2 years of Cumberland's eligibility following 3 full years in business.
