Managing Consultants and Executive Consultants for EMR Implementation.

Cumberland seeks outstanding candidates with big firm consulting experience who can work with our clients to implement electronic medical record packages.

Cumberland's Managing Consultants and Executive Consultants work with business, technology and clinical resources to define clinical business processes and implement packaged software that supports those processes. Executive Consultants also serve as project managers and work with client leadership on project strategy.

We work in the ambulatory, inpatient and post-acute care settings, and have implementation opportunities related to Epic, eClinicalWorks, Allscripts and Cerner. While experience and/or certification in these vendors' applications is ideal, we are interested in solid "athletes" and will provide training and education in specific vendors' software.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability/Willingness to travel (Monday - Thursday most weeks)
  • 2-10+ years working on or leading complex technology projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills – Executive Consultant candidates must have experience leading meetings with senior executives
  • Demonstrated operating autonomy. Able to perform tasks related to the execution of a client engagement without day-to-day supervision
Required Consulting Skills:
Candidates should possess the following consulting skills:
  • Experience facilitating teams
  • At least 2 years of previous clinical application implementation experience
  • Understanding of clinical business processes in the clinic, physician practice, hospital or post-acute (home care, hospice) settings
  • Experience working with technical and non-technical staff
  • Demonstrated project management skills including Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling and Closing processes
  • Demonstrated business development skills by participating in proposal development and presentations and ability to identify and assist in the closure of add-on sales
  • For Executive Consultants - experience creating detailed project plans and work effort estimates, controlling scope, creating risk profiles, resolving conflict, and building and communicating effectively with teams
  • For Executive Consultants - proven experience in managing the budget of large projects including tracking profit/loss, run rate/burn rate and projections
