EMR Program Management and Implementation: Cumberland assisted a large academic medical institution with the planning and program management for an electronic medical record (EMR) implementation for their faculty practice plan. The engagement included design, configuration, training, hardware planning, implementation and go-live support. Cumberland consultants facilitated clinical process improvement and worked with a panel of clinicians to establish EMR standards across various individual departments and specialties.
Package Planning, Selection and Implementation: A post acute services and care management company engaged Cumberland to help identify requirements for a future state technology platform to encompass both administrative systems (billing, claims processing) and clinical systems. The Cumberland team helped define requirements, select a vendor of choice, and implement the program. Cumberland managed the process to a successful implementation in each of the client’s pilot service areas.
System Selection: A large for-profit hospital operator acquired a specialty payor organization located in a U.S. territory as a part of one of its many acquisitions. Cumberland was brought in to develop a set of requirements and lead a system selection for a package solution to meet the entity’s needs.
Improving Healthcare Delivery
Package Planning, Selection and Implementation: A major city primary care association made up of 50+ federally qualified and other community health centers identified the need to participate in some healthcare data-sharing initiatives. To evaluate readiness, the organization hired Cumberland to assess each clinic. The limited functionality of the entities’ information systems led the group to task Cumberland with developing an I.T. strategy. This project led to a system selection, and Cumberland was ultimately hired to implement a leading practice management/electronic medical record application in key clinic locations.
IT Reorganization: CCG assisted a large hospital in Miami with a structural re-organization of its IT staff. CCG redefined IT positions to better align staff with roles and skillsets and designed a solution to manage the new organizational structure. The solution CCG developed included a web-based application to maintain and track an individual's competencies, and allowed for complete management of the performance review and evaluation process.
Custom Software Analysis and Design: CCG has assisted clients in many industries in the specification of software requirements for custom applications. CCG follows widely accepted Object Oriented Analysis and Design techniques to transfer business requirements into requirements that software developers understand.
