Cumberland Consulting Group announces the promotions of Matthew Good and Michael Worner. Both were admitted into the partnership January 1, 2011, having previously served as principals for the company.
Good joined Cumberland in 2004 as one of the firm’s first consultants. He has fifteen years of experience in Information Technology implementation project management. During his career with Cumberland, he has led a number of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) projects, including implementation for a multi-specialty academic institution. He is currently managing an EMR implementation for more than 550 physician practices nationwide.
Prior to joining Cumberland, Good was as a technology consultant for Ernst & Young where he specialized in custom software development. He served as data architect manager and interface architect for various large IT implementation projects while in this position.
A certified Project Management Professional, Good earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Trenton State College in Trenton, New Jersey, and holds a Master of Arts in Mathematics from Arizona State University in Tempe. Matthew and his family reside in Nashville.
Worner joined the firm in 2006 and has more than twenty years of consulting experience in the health care, retail and telecommunications industries. He has overseen projects ranging from clinical transformations and EMR implementations to billing and customer care software implementations.
Worner previously led implementation projects for large national and international corporations as a principal consultant for Computer Sciences Corporation in Los Angeles and as a senior programmer and analyst for Science Applications International Corporation in San Diego. He also worked internationally on several engagements in Saudi Arabia, Botswana and Brazil.
Worner holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University and is also a certified Project Management Professional. Michael and his partner Marc Harnly split their time between homes in Los Angeles and Nashville.
