The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve recognized Cumberland Consulting Group as a Patriotic Employer. The award is presented to employers who support a strong National Guard and Reserve force by practicing leadership and offering personnel policies that support employee participation in the Guard and Reserve.
Cumberland was nominated for the award by Major John Gobel, an executive consultant who joined the firm in 2008 shortly after returning from a deployment in Iraq. He has served in the Army National Guard for 20 years and continues to serve in a reserve status.
“We are honored to be recognized as a Patriotic Employer,” said CEO and Managing Partner Jim Lewis. “We are proud of our employees serving in the U.S. Armed Forces and are glad we can make a small contribution to help facilitate the important jobs they do.”
